Apply course-wide rules and save macros

Make repeatable styling or pacing changes without editing every element individually.

  • Review your course and create a named checkpoint before a broad change.
  • Rules affect the current course; saved macros are reusable on this app installation.

Step by step, link to this section

  1. Open Options → Rules and macros.
  2. Choose All block types or a specific element type to limit the rule.
  3. Select Set content width, Set padding, Set entry effect, or Add Continue gates.
  4. For a styling action, choose its value. Use Run now to apply the rule and read the change count.
  5. Review affected chapters in preview. Use Undo if the result does not fit the course.
  6. To reuse the rule, name it and choose Save macro. Use Run beside a saved macro when you want to apply it again.

What to expect, link to this section

The transformation is applied as one undoable course edit. A saved macro stores the rule so you can repeat it; it does not continually enforce that rule on future elements.

Tips & troubleshooting, link to this section

  • A zero change count can mean no elements match or they already have the requested setting.
  • Review any added Continue controls in context, especially after reorganizing chapters.
  • Deleting a saved macro removes the reusable rule, not changes it previously applied.
