Direct Google Classroom publishing is build-dependent. If your app says it is not configured, no change to course content will enable it.
Before you start, link to this section
- Direct publishing needs an app build configured for Google Classroom, internet access, and a teacher account with suitable permissions.
- Native Classroom conversion is different from publishing the full interactive player.

- Choose Export → Google Classroom. If the app reports that publishing is not configured, use the HTML alternative below.
- Choose Connect Google Classroom and authorize your teacher account. Reconnect if required permissions are missing.
- Select an active Class and review the Draft publishing plan and Conversion notes.
- For native materials, leave the hosted-link option off and choose Create drafts. To keep the full interactive course instead, connect sharing, enable the hosted-link option and publish the link assignment; hosting allowances apply.
- Open Google Classroom to review the chapter materials and final completion assignment. Publish them when ready.
- If direct publishing is unavailable, export a Single HTML file with a certificate, distribute it through your approved classroom file workflow, and tell learners how to return their certificate.
What to expect, link to this section
Native publishing creates one draft material per chapter and a final draft assignment. Interactive elements are converted or omitted; local media is not uploaded automatically, and quizzes are not turned into scored Google Forms.
Tips & troubleshooting, link to this section
- Read conversion notes before publishing. Quiz text does not retain the Studio scoring workflow inside native Classroom materials.
- Creating drafts again adds another topic rather than silently updating the earlier one.
- Connect an account for free hosted sharing: 15 courses, 100 MB storage and 200 MB delivery per UTC calendar month. Both tiers allow uploads up to 40 MB. Hosting limits apply across devices; local projects and exports are not subject to these limits.
- Studio’s completion certificate is learner-generated; Classroom submissions remain a separate teacher-managed workflow.
