Before you start, link to this section
- A project is a single .agavien file containing course content and its local assets.
- Keep an extra copy of important projects outside your working folder.
Step by step, link to this section
- Create a course or choose Open project on the home screen to select an existing .agavien file.
- Edit the course normally. Changes are autosaved; watch for save errors rather than assuming every disk write succeeded.
- Return to the home screen using Back to home. The app finishes pending saves when leaving a project.
- To back up or move your work, close the project and copy its .agavien file using your file manager.
- Open the copied project on the destination computer. Check media and preview before continuing.
What to expect, link to this section
The project remains editable in Studio. SCORM ZIPs and HTML exports are learner deliverables and do not replace your editable project backup.
Tips & troubleshooting, link to this section
- If a project is already open elsewhere, close the other editing session before opening it again.
- Autosave protects normal edits, but it does not replace a separate backup against file deletion or disk failure.
- Project history travels inside the project. Reusable palettes, terminology sets, and the element library are app-level resources and should not be assumed to travel with it.
