Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Agavien Studio desktop application and this website (together, the "Service"), provided by Agavien AB ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the Service you accept these terms.

1. License to use Agavien Studio

Create unlimited local courses for free, including templates, course import, AI JSON export and reimport, and all local export formats. Free exports include “Made with Agavien Studio” attribution. No account or payment card is needed for local work. Buy Plus once to remove export attribution and host up to 30 courses with 1 GB storage and 2 GB monthly delivery. No subscription. Do not resell, sublicense, share or publish your licence key.

Each Plus licence is a one-time purchase for one person. Individuals and organisations can buy several licences in one checkout, with a separate key for each person. Your licence key can be used on two computers at the same time. To switch computers, register an account at agavien.com using the same email address you used for your purchase, then deactivate an old computer in your account to free up a slot. Local course creation works offline. Plus needs internet for activation. After activation, Plus works offline without a time limit.

2. Your content

Courses and materials you create belong to you. Community submissions are hosted for review and, if approved, made available to signed-in users for download. Optional hosted sharing uploads your exported HTML course to private Cloudflare R2 storage. Anyone with its link can open it. We process account and installation identifiers, course title, size and usage counters to provide sharing and enforce allowances. Deleting a hosted course disables its link immediately; physical cleanup follows. Keep a local backup. Connect an account for free hosted sharing: 15 courses, 100 MB storage and 200 MB delivery per UTC calendar month. Both tiers allow uploads up to 40 MB. Hosting limits apply across devices; local projects and exports are not subject to these limits.

3. Payment

Agavien Studio Plus costs $47 as a one-time payment, plus any applicable tax shown at checkout. Payment is processed by our payment provider; we do not store your card details. Refunds are handled under our refund policy.

4. Acceptable use

• Do not attempt to circumvent licensing or reverse engineer the application.
• Do not use the Service to create or distribute unlawful material.
• Do not misuse the contact form to send unsolicited or abusive messages.

5. Availability and updates

We may release updates, change features or discontinue parts of the Service. A Plus license continues to work with the version it was activated on, even if a feature changes in a later release.

6. Warranty and liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of course data. Please keep your own backups. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.

7. Termination

We may suspend a license that is being shared or used in breach of these terms. You may stop using Agavien Studio at any time by uninstalling it.

8. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the country in which Agavien is established. Questions about these terms can be sent through the contact page.

9. Community library

By uploading a course, you confirm that you have the rights and permissions to share its file, cover and other materials, and grant Agavien a non-exclusive license to store, review, display and distribute them through the community library. You retain ownership. Approved listings, author names, covers and ratings are visible to visitors; signed-in users may download approved files. Downloads are for the recipient’s own lawful use; any separate license terms from the uploader still apply.

• Do not upload unlawful, infringing, malicious, confidential or third-party personal data without permission or an appropriate legal basis.
• Submissions are reviewed before publication. We may reject or remove courses, handle reports and restrict accounts that breach these terms; we do not guarantee the quality, safety or accuracy of community courses.
• You can remove your own listing, but copies already downloaded by others may remain with them. Keep your own backup of anything you upload.
