Create and edit courses with an AI tool

Exchange structured course JSON with a chatbot, then review the result in Studio.

  • You choose and use the external AI tool yourself. This workflow is file-based; Studio does not automatically send your course to a chatbot.
  • Import supported Rise 360 and easygenerator SCORM packages or course JSON for free, including AI-authored and AI-edited JSON. Review the imported course before publishing.

  1. For a new course, choose Export a course template for AI on the home screen. Fill in the course brief, including its required topic and language.
  2. Copy the provided instructions, download the JSON template, and give both to your chosen AI tool along with your request.
  3. For an existing course, choose Export → Export for AI editing instead. Provide the exported file and instructions to the AI tool.
  4. Ask for a downloadable JSON file or one complete JSON object. Save it as a plain .json file rather than a document or a fragment of code.
  5. Use Import course on the home screen, or Options → Import AI-edited version… for an existing course.
  6. Review the import preview, warnings, and repair information before accepting the result. Save the new project or version when prompted.
  7. Check factual claims, correct answers, layout, and media. Add any missing local assets, then preview and run Publish readiness.

What to expect, link to this section

Studio validates the returned course structure and imports it as a new project or version. Validation does not establish that AI-generated content is accurate, accessible, or suitable for your learners.

Tips & troubleshooting, link to this section

  • If import fails, ask the AI tool for the complete course JSON following the supplied instructions. Avoid Markdown fences or commentary in the saved JSON file.
  • Local file references cannot be invented into real media assets. Add and verify media in Studio.
  • Keep your original project and a named checkpoint before a major revision.
  • External AI tools can have their own account requirements and usage charges.
