## Before you start

- Use a Process for steps in a procedure and a Timeline for events over time.

- Keep a complete outline nearby so you can check the order.

## Step by step

1. Choose Add block → Interactive → Process or Timeline.

2. Replace each starter step or event with your own title and explanation.

3. Add the remaining steps or events. Include dates or time labels for a timeline where appropriate.

4. Add images where they help explain a step, and check the sequence from beginning to end.

5. Preview the full interaction, including any navigation between steps.

6. If the chapter requires learners to visit the whole interaction, configure a Continue control after it.

## What to expect

Learners can follow the authored sequence in a dedicated interaction. The sequence explains a procedure or story; it does not perform the procedure for the learner.

## Tips & troubleshooting

- Break a long step into smaller steps if it contains several separate decisions.

- Keep time labels consistent, such as years throughout or dates throughout.

- After importing a course, review these interactions carefully because imported layouts can be approximated.
