## Before you start

- Review completion settings before exporting. Certificates use the normal course completion rule.

- External embeds or linked resources may still require internet access even in a self-contained export.

## Step by step

1. Choose Export → Single HTML file.

2. In Export single HTML file, leave Include completion certificate selected if learners should be able to download one after completion, or turn it off.

3. Choose Export HTML file and save the result.

4. Open the file in a supported browser and test its media and interactions.

5. Meet the course’s completion rule. If certificates are included, enter a learner name and download the certificate.

6. Explain to learners how to return the certificate if you need evidence for an assignment.

## What to expect

The export embeds the course and local assets in one HTML file. The optional certificate is also an HTML file containing the entered name, completion time, course information, and quiz result when applicable.

## Tips & troubleshooting

- The certificate is created on the learner’s device. It is not automatically submitted, independently verified, or sent to the author.

- Large media makes the file larger. Consider a Web package (ZIP) when distributing a heavy course.

- A certificate cannot appear until the chosen completion condition is met.

- Local browser restrictions or an external provider’s rules can affect embedded content; test the actual delivery method.
