## Before you start

- Open Agavien Studio. You can author locally without a website account.

- Choose a writable folder for your project. A short course with one or two chapters is a useful starting point.

## Step by step

1. On the home screen, choose New course, enter a Course title, and choose Create. Save the project when prompted.

2. In the course overview, add a description explaining what learners will be able to do.

3. Choose New chapter, give the chapter a descriptive title, and open it.

4. Choose Add block and select a Text element. Replace the sample text with your introduction. Add an image or knowledge check below it.

5. Open Preview → Preview full course. Work through the course as a learner, then close the preview to continue editing.

6. Use Export → Publish readiness before choosing an export format.

## What to expect

Your editable course is saved as an .agavien project. Preview shows the learner experience; an export produces a separate deliverable.

## Tips & troubleshooting

- If saving fails, check the destination folder and available disk space. Resolve any save error before closing the app.

- The editor calls content elements blocks in several menus. Add block opens the element picker.

- Start with one clear learning goal rather than adding every interaction at once.
