## Before you start

- For a large edit, create a named checkpoint first.

- Search is intended for course text; do not assume it changes every asset name, URL, or app setting.

## Step by step

1. Open Options → Find & replace.

2. Type the text to locate in Find. Review the matching fields and their chapter context.

3. Enable Case sensitive if capitalization matters.

4. Enter the replacement in Replace with. Check for unintended matches before continuing.

5. Choose Replace all and read the replacement count.

6. Review the changed passages and preview affected chapters. Use Undo immediately if the replacement was wrong.

## What to expect

The tool applies the replacement across matching searchable course fields as an editable course change. It does not determine whether the replacement is grammatically correct in every sentence.

## Tips & troubleshooting

- A short search term can match inside longer words. Review the matches before replacing.

- If no matches appear, check spelling and the case-sensitive option.

- An empty replacement removes matching text; make sure that is intentional.
