# Share a course with a hosted link

Connect an account for free hosted sharing: 15 courses, 100 MB storage and 200 MB delivery per UTC calendar month. Both tiers allow uploads up to 40 MB. Hosting limits apply across devices; local projects and exports are not subject to these limits.

## Before you start

- Connect an account for free hosted sharing: 15 courses, 100 MB storage and 200 MB delivery per UTC calendar month. Both tiers allow uploads up to 40 MB. Hosting limits apply across devices; local projects and exports are not subject to these limits.

- Create unlimited local courses for free, including templates, course import, AI JSON export and reimport, and all local export formats. Free exports include “Made with Agavien Studio” attribution. No account or payment card is needed for local work.

## Step by step

1. Save your .agavien project locally, then choose Export → Share a link.

2. Choose Connect account. Sign in or register in your browser, verify your email if needed, and approve the connection. Return to Studio; it detects approval automatically. An activated online Plus licence can also provide sharing access.

3. Review the hosted-course, storage and monthly-delivery usage. The exported HTML must be no larger than 40 MB. Reduce embedded media if necessary.

4. Choose whether to include a completion certificate, then choose Upload course. Wait for the link, copy it and test it as a learner before distributing it.

5. Manage published copies under Hosted files. Delete a hosted copy to disable its link; your local project stays saved. Refresh to see updated usage.

## What to expect

A hosted link opens your interactive course without requiring learners to install Studio. Keep your editable local project as the source of truth.

## Tips & troubleshooting

- Files expire after six months without access. Anyone with the link can open the course. Learner progress lasts for the browser session; results are not sent back to Studio or Google Classroom.

- Repeat downloads count toward monthly delivery. Hosted links pause when the allowance is exhausted and the allowance resets at the next UTC calendar month. Local exports remain available.

- Optional hosted sharing uploads your exported HTML course to private Cloudflare R2 storage. Anyone with its link can open it. We process account and installation identifiers, course title, size and usage counters to provide sharing and enforce allowances. Deleting a hosted course disables its link immediately; physical cleanup follows. Keep a local backup.

- Use Studio 0.2.2 or later for free account sharing. If hosting is temporarily unavailable, export a single HTML file, web package or SCORM package instead.
