## Before you start

- Open an editable course. Its overview lists the chapters.

- A chapter contains an ordered sequence of elements; learners encounter them in that order.

## Step by step

1. In the overview, choose New chapter and enter a meaningful chapter title.

2. Open a chapter and use Add block or an insertion control between elements to choose new content.

3. Edit the chapter title at the top. Use the chapter’s elements to introduce a topic, explain it, and give learners practice.

4. Use an element’s Move up or Move down control to reorder it. Duplicate block creates another editable copy.

5. For several elements, use the selection controls, then Copy, Duplicate, or Move to chapter… as appropriate.

6. Return to the chapters view to rename or reorder chapters. Preview the resulting sequence.

## What to expect

The course overview and learner navigation reflect the chapter order. Moving or duplicating elements lets you reorganize without rewriting the content.

## Tips & troubleshooting

- Use Undo immediately if a move or deletion was accidental.

- Check Continue controls after rearranging interactions: a gate’s position affects what it requires learners to finish.

- Sequential navigation unlocks chapters as earlier chapters are viewed to the end; it is configured separately in Course settings.
